Madison County High School

          Madison County High School (9-12) in Gurley was opened in 1909, being the first school in the Madison County School System. Madison County High School originally located inside the town limits was moved in 1999 and currently is located along Highway 72 at 174 Brock Rd, Gurley, Alabama. The staff works extremely hard to maintain the rich history of TRADITION, HONOR, and EXCELLENCE. MCHS is a Lighthouse Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and has been recognized by the U.S. News as one of Alabama’s Top 30 High Schools.

 

Madison County Elementary School

          Madison County Elementary School (Pre-K through 8) sits on the location of the original High School and is comprised of a newly renovated campus and historic buildings. MCES is recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and offers many opportunities for learning and enrichment during children's formative years.
